From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. it’s dinner time. During holidays and weekends, the business district becomes empty and the shop closes.Lunch costs up to 1000 yen. You are provided with a range of rice, bread, and soup with a healthy variety. On the signboard mounted on top of the store’s entrance is the image of a beckoning cat. The cat’s bell is the main feature of the mascot. My cat-loving grandpa left this small store to me. To be honest with you, I liked dogs better. But basically, it’s an average restaurant you could find just about anywhere.…Ah! But there’s one thing that is different from everywhere else.Every Sat.u.r.day, the store receives some very special guests as it becomes a very busy day.Shouldn’t the store be closed you ask? That’s correct, which is exactly why they are special guests.Only on Sat.u.r.day do we welcome these very special customers, and because of that, it is technically a holiday.Even I don’t know when my grandpa first started doing this. But I do know that “Those on the Other Side” have a nickname for this place, “The Other World Dining Hall!”
